Different approaches.
“Thai Massage” does not define one fixed sequence. Thai massage styles vary: some concentrate on thumb and palm pressure, while others include assisted stretching. Ask how the studio’s service is performed instead of assuming deep stretches, massage over clothing or an oil-free session.
Pressure and movement.
Pressure focuses on contact and force; assisted stretching involves changes of position and movement range. If you prefer to remain relatively still, ask whether the service suits that preference. If you want stretching, confirm both its availability and its suitability for you.
Boundaries and preparation.
Mention movements or areas you do not want included. Restricted movement, injuries and recent surgery need appropriate discussion with a healthcare professional. You do not need to endure significant pain to complete a movement. Options are 45, 60 and 90 minutes; longer sessions do not imply stronger pressure or greater stretches. Clothing, oil use and the treatment surface remain studio details to confirm.
Common questions.
Stretching is not universal across Thai massage styles. Cultural heritage recognition is background information, not evidence of this studio’s training or certification.
